Network Marketing

Network Marketing for Financial Freedom and Self Improvement

Network marketing creates millionaires. Do you dream of your own business? 96% of Americans between the ages of 25 and 45 do.

MLM offers everyone an opportunity to start a massive distribution cartel. The internet was made for MLM.

It has increased the range and scope of the Network (or Cooperative) Marketing business.

Network marketing on a self improvement web site isn't such a strange idea either.

Robert Kiyosaki of "Rich Dad" fame, when speaking of this industry says, "Work at building your business, continue to study... and keep improving yourself from the inside out".

Kiyosaki goes on to say how the network marketing industry has "leveled the playing field [by] making the opportunity for truly great wealth available to anyone willing to follow the system and enter the world of the B quadrant." And like any true B quadrant business, the bulk of your earnings are produced by your organization.

This is an opportunity for anyone to escape the rat-race.

Personal development has been a life long pursuit of mine and it was a network marketing training program which first drew my attention to the MLM industry.

Around 25 years ago, a member of my master mind group of that time came to one of our gatherings telling of a "business opportunity" which used "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill as one of its basic texts. Thoroughly intrigued (not to mention being a big fan of that book at the time), I went to a meeting at the house of the "sponsor" of my friend and was immediately hooked.

They spoke of duplication, sharing resources, materializing goals and Double Diamond Directs. Much of what was said was Greek to me, but I knew personal growth when I heard it.

The pep-rally atmosphere was a little awkward for a laid back guy like myself, but their spirit was infectious and I signed up for my first network marketing business a few days later.

Although I didn't "make a killing" with this first foray into network marketing, I've appreciated this business model ever since.

Network Marketing Thrives on Building Relationships

Imagine that magic moment when your weekly earnings exceed your current monthly wages.

You're free!

You can fire your boss and spend your days pursuing your highest visions while growing your business even more.

Remember any success you've enjoyed, or for that matter any significant event you've experienced and usually there is someone there pointing you in one direction or another.

From the courses you take in school to the occupation you ultimately pursue, the key steps in your life are often influenced by the people you meet and talk to at those times.

From our relationships and associations come the energy and support to push you forward. These are the principles on which network marketing is based.

Any success you could ever desire will require the active involvement and help of lots of other people... the focused energies of those who are there to help you and whom you, in turn seek to help.

Inspiring excellence in each other is one of the key points that so impressed me about that network marketing meeting all those years ago.

"The richest people in the world look for and build networks, everyone else looks for work" -- Robert Kiyosaki

The old marketing adage of WIIFM (What's In It For Me) takes a back seat in network marketing... at least for those who learn to go far in the industry.

People who come to network marketing are looking for new answers. One of the first lessons is that this is a business which rewards those who make others successful and sorely punishes those who seek only their own self interests. The freedoms promised by the network marketing industry, namely personal, financial freedom and time are lavished on those that learn this lesson well.

So many shy away from network marketing for fear of having to badger people for money. They're afraid that after they "sell" their "warm" market, they'll have to approach strangers and try to "pitch" them.

The truth is network marketing isn't about selling in the way most people think of selling. There's no arm twisting or high-pressure tactics.

Oh yes, there is selling... but it's also about sharing the concepts and products of your company that you use and you're excited about.

Success can be achieved using a wide variety of methods. You choose the methods that you are comfortable with -- whether that means direct mail, telephones, meetings, one-on-one, in-home parties, commercial accounts and so on.

As the internet became more of a household tool, the opportunities grew exponentially.

In fact, most of the lessons learned in this business require entire paradigm shifts for most people, which qualify network marketing as a self improvement pursuit par-excellence.

Network Marketing as an Outgrowth of Self Improvement

The primary "activity" is to grow and develop as a person.

What happens is a new distributor comes to grips with the world of business while still living in the world of the employee.

You wean yourself off the "where is my paycheck" mentality and begin to concentrate more on how you can help the greatest number of people the fastest.

You acquire a sort of radar for opportunities to be of greatest service to more and more people... developing empathy, compassion and an eye for knowing what others really need and want.

And then a sincere willingness to help them get it is paramount.

"Literally thousands of people are realizing annual incomes [in Network Marketing] in excess of $100,000."

Culture shock is a common reaction as "newbies" are asked to fork over money up front in a business which is supposed to "make money".

However, those who stick it out realize that this is a true business model. The upfront money and "uncompensated" time are investments.

Instead of becoming salespeople, one is told to begin by consuming the product themselves. Most network marketing companies (the reputable ones) distribute what is commonly consumed anyway.

"Buy from your own store" and see for yourself the quality and cost savings of the company's products.

Those to whom the new person looks up in the business... their upline, "preach the word" of prosperity, power and influence... freedoms of this sort and that.

The newbie buys into the vision and begins to recognize a similar power in themselves. At that point the residual checks begin to flow and grow.

The way of the world is that those captains of industry who pay you your weekly salary on most traditional "j.o.b."s do on a large scale what you are learning to do down here in the "real world".

Connect people to a product or service they consume every month... for which there is already a demand. Get in on the supply side and write your own ticket.

Network Marketing Compared to Traditional Industry

Network marketing is a business method of moving products and services from manufacturers to consumers but lets regular people in on the profits.

This is also not a traditional job in that you are in your own business which you run as you wish.

Those you "sponsor" work indirectly on your behalf (thus, you make money even while you sleep)

You create an independent source of income which augments and ultimately could replace your job.

Benefits of Network Marketing:

*Success is achieved by helping others

*Low start up costs

*Huge tax benefits for the regular guy

*No employees / low overhead

*You do the work you choose

*Work at home

*Set your own hours

*Free professional consultation for "upline"

*Possibility of profit in the first month

How Traditional business is done:

Product moves from...

Manufacturer to
Wholesaler to
Warehouse to
Shipping. Then through
Advertiser... to
Retailer to
Consumer

With network marketing, product moves from...

Manufacturer to
Distributor to
Consumer

Network marketing fulfills the promise of inner development bringing great wealth.
