At one of my favorite discussion boards recently, an "overwhelmed" commenter brought up a point which is becoming relevant to me. He wondered...
"Where is the balance between self-awareness/improvement and family-awareness/improvement? Do your closest relationships get left behind as 'old behavior patterns' or can you drag them along with you...?"
I thought this a profound question... and poignant for me.
My partner, during one of her (ever more frequent) episodes of anxiety comes to the room where I'm at the computer and asks "Is that more important than me?"
Well, I'm afraid there's no benign way to say this but, yes.
My subscribers and I are in pursuit of a vision of what may be the future of humanity... a "permanence" within, of which I'm only granted glimpses.
Compared to temporary anxiety (drama) attacks (or momentary tantrums), I have to say, yes... this is more important... more important than me!
I offer "ecstatic exchanges" which promise to heal much of this "stuff"... but not yet. The meditations I offer seem to fall on deaf ears.
I must continue to "push on".
(As for the "exchanges", do yourself a favor and visit the web radio show called "Good Heavens!, Ask the Stars" [Archived at http://www.wsradio.com/goodheavens/archive.htm ], where you can listen to our old friend Marnia of http://www.reuniting.info and author of the book "Peace Between the Sheets" with her husband Gary as they explore the nature of human sexual energy from both bio/scientific and spiritual perspectives. A delightful presentation which brings the practices and concepts of Peace Between the Sheets to life. Live show airs the second Wednesday of every month.)
Consider any ritual or occult ceremony... orchestrated drama which alters your perspective regarding your day to day comedy and tragedy. It increases / expands the contexts in which you hold your current "drama".
Creating a "sacred" space welcomes needed calm and poise... and the consciously "dramatic" elements of banishing rituals (candles, incense and incantations... all astrologically aligned) counteract the unconscious "condition - instigated" drama of material life... making that tougher to "sneak past you" without being recognized for what it is... drama.
As the principle of evolution for any "open system" shows, chaos often precedes the leap to the next level. Overwhelming the current system is how higher systems are generated.
Tales of "underworld" legerdemain... hell and the devil... could be characteristic of our everyday drama. Clearing these has always required a dramatic approach. Consider the precision drama proposed by the Cybernetic Transposition of Stuart Lichtman (my review of his work, explained in the book "How to Get Lots of Money for Anything, Fast" can be found in a previous issue of Higher Activation).
In this book there is a description of "locating the inner anchor point" which takes "orchestrated drama" to new heights.
Humanity is the flower of earthly life... the DNA of Earthly existence whose function remains unfulfilled without the intimation of a grander life. For the DNA molecule, its the cell... for us, it's this.
Drama for the molecular world might be (if I may wax anthropomorphic)... those with no belief in "that which is beyond"... or no belief that this can be consciously / meaningfully interacted with, would scoff at their fellow proteins and polymers... laugh as they form themselves into those weird shapes... that double helix. "What good is such self contained construction?" Maybe these were the artists and poets of the molecular world... but with what function? "We can't see it".
Or, as important to the cellular world as propagation is, other plants probably scoffed at the angiosperms (flowering plants) which required something beyond their realm in order to pollinate (thus propagate)... something called "Insects"? "What a crock of bull" they laughed. What a leap of faith it took!
The moment to moment dramas of these molecules and flowers took a back seat to that to which they pledged their lives... Higher Life. And I bet there wasn't much choice... once compelled by a glimpse of the higher vision.
And you know what else? The moment to moment, day to day comedy and tragedy became ever more "handle-able" by the "aspirant". Issues still existed but they tend to resolve more easily and with more joyous results.
No, problems (and the day's drama) aren't ignored but perceived from the more inclusive contexts.... and their harmonious resolution seems almost effortless.
We must continue to push on... and family-awareness/improvement will also evolve. (This may be no answer, but it's a perspective.)

One of our readers wrote me with a question/comment...
"You mentioned in the last issue the Holysync program by Bill Harris. [My] hesitation is based on a fear that the tapes merely hypnotize one... in a good way, mind you, but still hypnosis... which conjures the image to me that this is NOT real understanding, enlightenment, or realization."
Part of my response to him was this...
I've pursued and enjoyed an increasing degree of understanding and realization for some time. In my experience, living life in modern day America (as I do) almost requires a bit of hypnosis to continue the way we do (as a culture).
To totally ignore the consequences of environmental pollution for one, the mind-set required to devote so much of our lives at jobs that may not fulfill us (in fact, so many of us work jobs which actively alienate us from our humanity... I've worked them myself), living lives of "quiet desperation" (I could go on, but you probably know all this yourself)... to carry on like this until we're too old and feeble to be productive (or seek enlightenment)... we must already be hypnotized.
I find that certain "psycho-technologies" (
HoloSync being one of them for me) tend to
de-hypnotize a person.
Thank you for your thought provoking question Michael.
