Publisher's Note:

Solar flares and Northern lights, "end of days"?... What a Halloween, huh?

And the month of November promises another Lunar eclipse and the Leonid meteor shower "sky show".

On: "Matrix-ing"

As I read through the most recent issue of "Sales from the Edge", SiteSell's (makers of Site Build It!) cutting edge newsletter, Key Evoy was discussing the foreseeable future of search engines.

At one point he mentions how "In the next few years, they (search 'directories'... Yahoo, DMOZ, etc.) will become irrelevant.

"They depend on high fees (which greatly reduces submissions) and human editors [italics are mine...jp]. As technology continues to improve (but human editors don't -- technology improves monthly but humans take millions of years to evolve!), spider-algorithm-based engines will rule. Human listings can't keep up with ever-improving technology".

And mind you, all this after my partner and I spent a weekend of watching a DVD of the Matrix (both 1 & 2!).

Now, considering Ken Evoy's observations and the bleak future depicted by the Matrix movies, how can humans win?

I'm no "Luddite". I enjoy the "traffic" I receive from Google (for instance) as much as the next guy. Heck, You probably found us by way of Google (seeing how they've been in the news all week with potential public offerings, take-overs of smaller competitors, etc., etc. And Yahoo does charge quite a bit for a "chance" to be listed.).

It all just had me thinking... that's all.

Could we possibly be witnessing the "makings" of a Matrix type era? (I must say, I 'kinda depend on Google... that's how "Morpheus" said it started.)

Don't Wait for Neo!

There's no need to "search the Matrix" for "The One".

There exists, within each of us an "anomalous" element which "sees things differently" than we do.

To stave off such a (conceivable) future will take a hyper-evolutionary (quantum) leap on the part of mankind. I feel we don't have the "time" to let (natural) evolution "take it's course". Evolving to the point where we posses the capacity to "know better" will take our conscious participation.

Several things science has granted us is opportunity to (instantly) simulate (more like "stimulate") the conditions which our fore-fathers took lifetimes to experience. With binaural beat technology for instance (see The HoloSync Solution) we no longer have to sit atop the Himalayas or retreat to an ashram for years at a time to develop ourselves. And profound meditation is just one of the pre-requisites to conscious evolution.

Consider the nature of light and the mind trips it demands.

We (our materialist side) want to say "the photon is either here or it isn't". We can't wrap our minds around notions of "collapsing wave functions" and electrons having "probabilities" to exist. We want the sub-atomic realm to exist whether we're observing it or not.

Not to get too '70's or "Alan Watts" on you (although I love Alan Watts), but science itself, with its precision instruments and cutting edge mathematics PROVE that we don't have the luxury of such self indulgence. The electron "appears" because we wish to see it!. The photon, once seen ceases to exist! (annihilated into a particle and its anti-"Agent"). There is no choice in the matter.

Our best bet is to look to the (very) ancients (our "fore-mothers"?) who "intuited" these developments and how they relate to a consciousness on the rise. Where "sound" technology was venerated in "chants" and "incantations"... natural methods of consciously creating change in one's environment.

It's in these directions that your personal "Neo" can get unplugged.

Higher "Corporate" Improvement

My "day job" is in a "typical", rather large, modern office and our Human Resources (I love that term) department is constantly coming up with "new instruments" for our betterment (I guess).

We've done Blanchard leadership training, Dale Carnegie seminars (you remember "Win Friends and Influence People, right?), (I'm not getting too '70s on you, am I?)... we've even compiled a library of leadership books and encourage all supervisors and above to avail themselves of its insight.

Just last week, out of the blue we're told that for the sake of "Work / Life Balance" we would get half a day off. Go spend it with your family, or whatever! (My partner however didn't get such a "perk" so I spent my half day at the computer).

Among the instruments introduced most recently by HR was "The Myers - Briggs Personality Typing" process (or was it "stereo-typing"... never mind, I digress).

Actually it was a rather interesting process where we answered a series of questions ("no right or wrong", mind you) and the results tell your personality type.

I "discovered" that I'm "primarily" and INFP (which means I prefer Introversion as my primary mode of gaining energy [as opposed to Extroversion -- interacting with others and encountering situations to gain energy]; Intuition [the N is to distinguish this measure from the "I" of introversion] is said to be my primary preference for gathering information [as opposed to S or sensory means of gathering information]; F is for feeling as my preferred mode of making decisions [as opposed to T for Thinking as my primary, preference for making decisions][or was this dichotomy the one where I gain information and the other for making decisions?]; and P is for perceiving as my primary "outlook" on the world [as opposed to J or judging]

There are 16 possibilities in all (combinations of the four dichotomies)

It all seemed a bit like astrology to me. In fact, astrology seems to me a bit more honest (also less clinical and ambiguous).

At least in the higher levels of (esoteric) astrology, one is encouraged to encompass the whole (rather than a simple pigeon-hole).

And I'm sure that wasn't the intention. The questions asked to which we provided the answers which, in turn, "determined" our "type" could have easily been answered differently at another time (thus changing the "result").

Don't get me wrong... I admire the effort. I appreciate corporate America's attempt to introduce notions of self improvement into the workplace... this is commendable.

But (not to blow our own horn... too loud) we are after Higher Self Improvement Pursuits and Higher Activation. We began our wake-up process in the '60s and '70s (I know, I know;-). The "dramatic" effects of Conscious evolution have seeped into our souls and nothing less than "Enlightenment" (as our starting point!) will do.

It's also confirmation that we (you and I) are ahead of the Corporate game... but was there ever any doubt?

One of our subscribers / readers / members / family, all the way from South Africa asked how I felt about past lives. Honestly Chantell, I don't give it much thought. But... enough ancient cultures (who I feel are "closer" to the topic than we of the present day) believed it.

In fact, I did a bit of researching through my personal archives and ran across several references to the possibility. However, the archives that I keep put emphasis on the "primacy" of doing what we can NOW (which is more than society lets on), to accelerate our conscious "embodiment" of whatever "vehicle" would undergo such a transition.

We'll get into this further in upcoming issues of Higher Activation. Promise.
