Publishers Note:
Thank you for subscribing and welcome to this issue of Higher Activation ezine.
This newsletter is a chance for us to interact a little more in depth. The layout of the content in this publication will see minor adjustments over the next couple of months and I need your input.
I've been reminiscing lately as several lifetime pursuits are coming to fruition. I waxed on about how I got to where I am and the theme of this issue of Higher Activation resulted.
This isn't a dwell on the past, it's an appreciation. The trials and tribulations of the pursuit not only didn't kill me / made me stronger, but have held valuable lessons that sometimes we see only in retrospect.
The news article has to do with some experiments with fasting. I have studied the topic for some time and I'm convinced of its benefits. Still I have yet to undertake a session. When I do, you will know. (But it will be far more hygienic then that describe below, both Spiritually and physiologically).
Please let me hear from you regarding what you'd like to see more of... suggestions and recommendations are encouraged.
The main site will be updated soon. So please visit often.
Higher Self Improvement Pursuits
And now, on with the show.
I grew up believing that knowledge of the inner workings of the World / Universe, and it's relationship to us would grant the knower special "power" to manipulate, or at least influence conditions in ones favor. On reflection, time has shown that we already know more than we know we know (?:-).
The process of self discovery is an inward journey; a way of uncovering, creating and clarifying your relationship to your inner world.
You might feel overwhelmed by the possibilities of all that resides in your mind and spirit. Ever hear stories of premature Kundalini awakening? Or the old Kabalistic tales of students being illuminated to death while sitting at the feet of rabbis?
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
Drink deep or touch not the perian spring.
For there, shallow droughts intoxicate the brain.
And drinking largely sobers us again.
We of Occidental society have fewer of these concerns than humanity once did, I feel. The danger now is lack of transcendent belief (the abundant evidence of the transcendent in physics is seen as only good for building cell phones and space shuttles). This leads to mere replication of concepts installed by society.
True signals from within are drowned out by the noise of "McCulture" and the complexities of our tiny space in it. Thus leaving only a reflection of the "times we live in".
We don't recognize ourselves. Our reflections are distorted to appear as if we had no influence in their making. We've forgotten or misused the "Charm of Making" (Merlin from Excalibur?)
Upon Reflection, Bruce Lee and "Think and Grow Rich" were the basis of my early exploration. Hill's concept of Sex Transmutation was just beginning to blow my mind. Reading P. D. Ouspensky's "Tertium Organum" incited my first, true "day-glow" spiritual experience.
Ralph Waldo Emerson's essays were my idea of a profound way to spend an evening. I was captured by a vision. I envisioned a world where learning was effortless and the manifestation of dreams instantaneous.
I witnessed this vision unfold as various psycho-technologies gained prominence under a host of names and disciplines... T.M., Lunar Phase Resonance meditation, Super-learning. The world seemed to be responding to me personally!
As NLP gained popularity (Tony Robbins book was my introduction to the field), I realized it to be the fulfillment of Charles Muses' hyper-number prophesy.
Higher dimensional numbers "demanded" there be an "intra-action" where "attention focus and intensity, along with the selectivity, conditioning and queuing of attention, hence processes of suggestion and the subsequent alteration of states and levels of consciousness" was coming to pass.
Photo Reading took the cake. In combining NLP, Super-learning and other cutting edge sciences, Paul Scheele of Learning Strategies "modeled" systems at the vanguard of the information age.
A big part of the Photo Reading Process (review of the home study course coming soon in the review section), is the bypassing of the conscious mind and sending information directly to "storage bins in the other-than-conscious". How much of our daily lives lie in repose this same way?
Then with various techniques, "activation" of the material in mind (as opposed to on the page) takes place and comprehension "dawns" on you! A level of comprehension that mocks our elementary school methods of reading.
What's more, as this activation takes place, the significance of our daily lives begins dawning too!
HoloSync Audio Technology and now Cybernetic Transposition (see "More Money" in this issue) all combine to reflect those early visions... and bring them to life.
As you grow in self discovery and the image you have of your potential grows so different from where you see yourself now that only a quantum shift in reality will do, a willingness to say goodbye to the old you is called for... a willingness to hang out in a cloud of uncertainty where the old you is fading but the new you isn't fully formed.
The Higher Self awaits only the right stimulus for its Higher Activation!... An invitation! Such stimulation is found in these very same technologies and practices.
So love your current pursuits... know they will be reflected in your tomorrows. Heart pumping, adrenaline generating inspiration, reflected back to you from your world.

Fasting May Be as Beneficial As Dieting
Mice Study to Be Done in Humans
Associated Press Tuesday, April 29, 2003
Periodic fasting can be just as good for health as sharply cutting back on calories, even if the fasting doesn't mean eating less overall, a new study indicates.
Researchers plan to see if what works in mice is also good for people.
Several recent studies have reported a variety of benefits from a highly restricted diet, including longer lifespan, increased insulin sensitivity and stress resistance.
In the new report, mice that were fed only every other day -- but could gorge on the days they did eat -- saw similar health benefits to ones that had their diet reduced by 40 percent, a team of researchers reports in today's online edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The cause of health improvements from cutting back on food is not fully understood, though many researchers had assumed that a long-term reduction in calories was involved.
But the new study by Mark P. Mattson and colleagues at the National Institute on Aging found equal benefits for mice that ate only every other day, but did not cut total calories because they ate twice as much on days they were not fasting.
Mattson said a study is being planned to compare the health of a group of people fed three meals a day with a similar group, eating the same diet and amount of food but consuming it within four hours and then fasting for 20 hours.
"Overeating is a big problem now in this country. It's particularly troublesome that a lot of children are overweight. It's still unclear the best way to somehow get people to eat less. . . One possibility is skipping a meal a day," Mattson said. "Our study suggests that skipping meals is not bad for you."
